1、動詞加ing的規則口訣：動詞ing形式的變化規則主要有八種，分別是：動詞加+ing；雙寫最後的輔音字母再加+ing；不發音字母e結尾的動詞去掉e再加+ing；y結尾的動詞直接+ing；以ie結尾的動詞改ie為y再加+ing等。

2、在時間上表示動作正在進行。例如：a developing country.一個發展中的國家， boiling water沸水，rising sun冉冉升起的太陽。（試比較：a developed country 一個發達國家，boiled water沸水， risen sun升起的太陽）

3、在語態上表示主動。例如：the ruling class統治階級，the exploiting class剝削階級。（試比較：the ruled class被統治階級，the exploited class被剝削階級）
